Staying Near the Great Auditorium

Concert weekends, camp-meeting season, or a quiet weekday in town — the Beachliner puts you close to Ocean Grove’s heart without giving up the beach.

We’re at 7 Main Avenue, a Victorian beach hotel just 75 steps from the sand. The Great Auditorium (Pilgrim Pathway / Tabernacle Way) is about a 5–10 minute walk through Ocean Grove’s Victorian streets — roughly a quarter mile from our front porch. Stay here for the ocean breeze in the morning and an easy stroll to the Auditorium when the music starts.

How far is the Beachliner from the Great Auditorium?

About a 5–10 minute walk. We’re on Main Avenue near the beach; the Auditorium sits a short stroll inland on Pilgrim Pathway. Ocean Grove is compact and walkable — many guests leave the car parked and go on foot.

Can I walk to the Auditorium from the hotel?

Yes. It’s a pleasant walk through town — no shuttle needed. Wear comfortable shoes; streets are flat and neighborhood-friendly. Bike borrowing is also available at the hotel if you’d rather ride.

Is the Beachliner a good base for Auditorium events and camp-meeting season?

Yes. Guests come for concerts, services, and summer programs, then walk back to a quiet room by the shore. Book early for popular event weekends — Ocean Grove fills up when the Auditorium calendar is busy.

Where should I park during busy Auditorium weekends?

Free street parking is available near the hotel. On busy event days, parking closer to the Auditorium can fill quickly; staying at the Beachliner lets you park once near Main Avenue and walk to the venue. If street spots are tight near the north end of town, try west and south side streets, then walk.

What’s the vibe in Ocean Grove around the Auditorium?

Ocean Grove began as a Methodist camp-meeting community and still feels peaceful and historic — Victorian homes, quiet streets, and a slower pace than neighboring Asbury Park. It’s a wonderful contrast: lively when events are on, calm when you return to the porch.

How far is the beach from the hotel?

Just 75 steps. Many guests swim or stroll the boardwalk in the morning, then walk to the Auditorium later in the day.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. A complimentary enhanced continental breakfast is served daily from 7:30 to 10:00am, and kosher breakfast is included (certified by JSOR). Coffee, lemonade, and homemade cookies are also set out in the lobby — helpful before a morning program or after a late concert night.

Which rooms have ocean views or balconies?

Several rooms offer ocean views or outdoor space, including options like Seabreeze King, Horizon Suite (balcony), Tideside Deluxe, Royal Saltair, Hideaway King, and Shoreline Studio (patio with private entrance). Ask when you book if a view or quieter lower-floor room matters for your trip.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is by 11:00am. Reception is open 8am to 8pm, and virtual check-in is available 24 hours a day — useful if you’re arriving after an evening event.

Do you provide beach passes, towels, and bikes?

Beach towels and bikes are available for guests. Discounted beach passes can be purchased in the lobby; they are not free. Joining our email list gets you 2 free beach passes with your first stay.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation is free when you cancel at least seven days before your arrival date. For big Auditorium weekends, we recommend booking early and double-checking your dates against the event schedule.

Are you open year-round?

Yes. The hotel is open year-round, so you can visit for peak summer concerts or quieter off-season weekends in town.
