Is breakfast included for kids?
Yes. A complimentary enhanced continental breakfast is served daily from 7:30 to 10:00am, and kosher breakfast is included (certified by JSOR). Coffee, lemonade, and homemade cookies are also set out in the lobby.
How far is the hotel from the beach and boardwalk?
We are on Main Avenue in Ocean Grove, just 75 steps from the beach. The boardwalk, sand, and ocean are right outside — easy for morning walks, afternoon swims, and stroller-friendly strolls.
Do you offer beach passes, towels, or bikes for families?
Beach towels and bikes are available for guests. Discounted beach passes can be purchased in the lobby; they are not free. Joining our email list gets you 2 free beach passes with your first stay.
Is parking free? Are pets allowed?
Free street parking is available. Pets are not allowed.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is by 11:00am. Reception is open 8am to 8pm, and virtual check-in is available 24 hours a day, so you never need to worry about reception hours.
Is there an elevator?
No. The historic Victorian building has four floors and no elevator, and the stairs are steep. Guests who prefer fewer stairs can request a lower-floor room; the Shoreline Studio is on the ground floor with a private entrance.
What is nearby for kids and families?
You’re steps from Ocean Grove Beach and the boardwalk. The Great Auditorium and Ocean Grove’s quiet Victorian streets are a short walk away, and Asbury Park’s boardwalk and attractions are a quick trip next door. Games and books are available in the hotel for laid-back downtime after the beach.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation is free when you cancel at least seven days before your arrival date.
Are you open year-round?
Yes. The hotel is open year-round — summer beach weeks, fall weekends, and quiet winter escapes alike.
Does every room have a private bathroom?
Every room has its own private bath. In some rooms, such as the Hideaway King and Tideside Deluxe, that private bathroom is just outside the room, across the hall.
